NASA: Kids Climate Change An interactive and informative site created by NASA. The site will help students discover answers to the assessment task questions in a fun online environment with pictures and videos and easy to read text, it won’t even feel like study. :^)
What we do at Green Peace This website provides current and accurate information about Climate Change, Forests, Oceans, Agriculture, Toxic Pollution and Nuclear Energy. The site is attractive and colourful with relevant videos and photographs. Students will easily navigate the site but need to be aware that Greenpeace is a non-government environmental organisation which campaigns to protect the environment and the site is not without biases and an agenda. ;-\
National Geographic: The Environment National Geographic is well known for providing current, relevant and accurate information about all forms of Global Issues. The site is beautifully created, easy to navigate and has wonderful pictures and videos which will assist students complete the assessment task and may even encourage further investigation. :+)
World Wildlife Fund This website will assist students complete the assessment task using an interactive online environment. The detailed and appropriate information is supported by relevant photos and videos. Students who are passionate about protecting animals will discover ways to protect endangered species and environments. :-}
World Health Organisation This website has a different focus than those described above. The information focuses on how global warming and global issues impact on human health worldwide. The information is accurate and detailed and would appeal to students wishing to extend their learning or approach the assessment task from an alternative viewpoint. <:-}
United Nations: Global Issues This site provides detailed and relevant information and focuses on improving the lives of people worldwide. Students will discover information easily by following the links or using the inbuilt search feature. The text in this resource is more suited to average to above average reading levels and those students who wish to extend their learning. :>)
